In order to help us aim are music video at our target audience we need to first discover who are target audience are and to deepen are understanding see the age groups and the range of this group so we can better target are audience. There are many research methods that we could use we have decided on using these methods:

Interviews
Interviewee is on their own so we are more likely to get honest answers.
You get to understand the audience as you can ask questions that you may just have thought of.
Interviewer can steer conversation to their advantages.
Time consuming to interview enough people.
May make the interviewee feel uncomfortable
Questionnaire
Can be distributed on a wide scale.
Easy to evaluate and tally data.
Can contain both open and closed questions
Answers can be skipped or not get enough depth.
Discussion groups
Can thoroughly discuss as the questions will get different points of view
Dominant characters can influence discussions.
Not everyone gets an opportunity voice opinion.
